Patrick van der Pas (He/They) is a well-experienced policy expert and project manager at PTRCKVDPS (+10y) in the fields of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility, and business development. As a change agent, they love solving complex social and cultural policy challenges and projects.

By exploring the dynamics of contexts from a multidisciplinary perspective, Patrick van der Pas contributed to the success of different projects and companies in a wide range of industries. In 2021, Patrick was a Senior Human Rights Officer for Copenhagen 2021 where they organized a 3-day hybrid Human Rights Conference with multiple plenary sessions and over 60 break-out sessions for over 2.500 participants, which brought together activists, corporates, governmental officials such as ministers and heads of states, and over 300 organizations globally. Fun fact: Patrick wrote the keynote speech for Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess of Denmark at the opening ceremony. Additionally, Patrick contributed to the realization of other events in the name of WorldPride and EuroGames such as the Interparliamentary Plenary Assembly and the Embassy Engagement Program.

Other highlights of Patrick’s career are their role as Project Manager for Global Pride 2020, bringing together hundreds of organizations, artists, and state officials from all 7 continents, reaching an audience of 57 million people worldwide. He created strong collaborations with big tech companies such as YouTube, Google, Sony Music, and Meta, to utilize their platforms for the event. Furthermore, Patrick prepared a policy analysis and lobby strategy report for WordProof, analyzing European privacy laws and policies on blockchain technology, and how these technologies can contribute to advancing internet safety.

Starting at the most practical-oriented education level Patrick van der Pas worked his way to a double master’s degree in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and United Nations University. Another highlight of Patrick’s educational trajectory is the fact that they successfully completed three minors during their bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology; 1) Global Health, Care & Society, 2) Gender & Sexuality, and 3) Governance and Policy.
